Suddenly, Thousands is a crowd-controlling game that takes inspiration from Pikmin and The Swapper. As a lone individual, you can recruit characters with synchronized movements to help push blocks, trigger switches, and avoid perilous lasers. Help lead the crowd to it's sacred safe-house!
Omiya Games developed the game for Bacon Game Jam 08 on October, 2014. It was created within 48 hours by one developer, Taro Omiya. The game jam theme was, "millions of them," and while the original vision began as a sort of a Hitman-style assassination game, a bug inspired the developer to take it to a new puzzle-based direction.
1st Place Overall
There's a lovely serene quality to Suddenly, Thousands' switch-activating, trap-avoiding, crowd-jumping puzzles–and a pleasantly abstract yet characterful art style to go with it.
Everything's just so darn cool with this game.
